The roll-out of digital TV signals has put more great stuff on our TV screens than ever before, and sometimes it’s hard to decide what to watch (we know – it’s a very nice problem to have). Anyway, for recording TV, we’ve generally had to use external devices, like DVD recorders and Personal Video Recorders (PVR). Newer models brought that functionality inside the actual TV itself, but most only allowed you to record the same thing you were watching.
Taking a leaf from some of the best PVRs, Teac have integrated Twin Tuners into some of their new range of televisions, meaning two shows can recorded at once, whilst you still watch a third!
How it works:
An individual TV tuner can only receive one channel signal at a time. Generally, this is the channel you’re watching, or the channel that’s being recorded. The beauty of the two tuners is that both can record a specific channel, while you’re watching a third.
Rather than recording to an internal hard drive, Teac’s range use USB storage (large capacity USB sticks or external hard drives), so you have as much space as you want to use. USB storage has come down significantly in price in the last few years, so it’s easy to record and store your favourite TV shows. Plus, the fact that storage can be swapped out means no one in the house will have to delete their shows if they don’t want to!

Seamless sharing of content
On top of all this, the 50-inch and 65-inch models have brilliant connectivity features that allow you to connect the TV to Wi-Fi In the home to help create a network of entertainment on all devices. Check out the video below to see how it all works!
